Do you love to run/walk on a beautiful flat, fast 10k course? Thank you to all Mercedes-Benz Oakville 10k participants who braved the inclement weather and joined us on April 25th, 2010. In only its second year, the race grew by 50% and racers enjoyed the addition of the family-oriented divisions including The High School Challenge, the 1k Jr. Jog and the 300m Toddler Trot. From the initial feedback, we are happy to report that you had fun, you loved the amenities and draw prizes, and appreciated the Appleby campus venue. Our goal is to make this event bigger and better with each year passing. A special congratulations goes to Kristin Andruchow from Burlington. From a crowd of 1700 excited runners and walkers waiting for the winning bib number to be called, Karen was the random draw winner of the beautiful Mercedes-Benz B Class. We'll have info for 2011 on the site this fall but pencil in our date of April 24, 2010. With your fundraising efforts and contribution, $5000 was raised for the United Way of Oakville. This money will make a difference in many Oakvillians’ lives. As a result of the fantastic support of the Oakville Beaver and Cogeco among others, the community of Oakville was further exposed to The Mercedes-Benz Oakville 10k!
We look forward to hosting you in 2011. Click below for your Race Results: Click here to see race photos taken by Zoom Photo and our team. Registration and the official race date will be confirmed shortly.
