The Oakville Community Foundation (OCF) is part of a comprehensive network of over 175 Canadian community foundations.  OCF acts as a bridge between donors and greater Oakville charities to help create and maintain a strong, vibrant community for generations to come.
 
Through permanent endowment funds, the Foundation disburses a portion of our assets annually to greater Oakville charities.  As well, OCF Staff take an active role working with our Donors and Funders to facilitate even further funding initiatives.  OCF also takes a direct role in selected community initiatives that help further the vision of a strong community.
 
With over $43 million in assets invested for the benefit of our community, OCF is proud to have supported over 145 area charities in 2010 alone. 

The OCF:
gives donors choices: how to make their gift, how that gift might be recognized and what charitable causes they may wish to support;
helps professional advisors provide added value to their clients;
provides financial support for a wide variety of charitable causes;
and participates in broader community initiatives, providing broad-based expertise throughout the charitable sector. 

The Mercedes-Benz 10k is an annual run in Oakville and this year will be taking place on Sunday, April 21st, 2013.  Donations from the Mercedes-Benz Oakville 10k will be directed to the Oakville Community Foundation's Community Fund and will be used for granting to areas of greatest need in our community.
