ARRIVE EARLY! As with all races, we encourage you to plan your morning and arrive early enough to the event to allow yourself ample time to get to the Appleby campus and get settled in before the festivities commence. All 10k participants must pick-up timing chips on race day in the ARENA from 6:45AM - 7:45 AM ONLY!

Please BE GREEN! Consider riding your bike, taking public transportation, taking a cab, ride sharing, or carpooling to the event. 

RIDE YOUR BIKE TO THE RACE! We want to encourage participants to ride their bike to the event. There will be bike racks available for you in the Athlete's Village for you to lock up your bike on. And, please REMEMBER to bring a lock with you to lock-up your bike.

We know you are resourceful, yet want you to be aware of all of the transportation options you have available to get to the race... 

Participant Shuttle: A shuttle service will be available to participants leaving from the Oakville GO Station. Parking will be available in the SOUTHWEST parking lot (located at the intersection of Cornwall and Old Mill Road - this is west of Trafalgar on the south-side of the GO Station). One Mercedes-Benz Oakville 10k volunteer will be on-site at the GO Station facilitating the shuttle. The shuttle will operate from 7:00 am - 8:00 am, with shuttle times of 7:00 am, 7:15 am, 7:30 am, and 7:45 am. There will be two 24-person buses operating the shuttle service. Participants will be dropped off close to campus (at Suffolk and Lakeshore Road West). Upon conclusion of the event, participants will be picked up at this drop-off point and shuttled back to the GO Station. The return shuttle will operate from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, with shuttle times of 11:00 am, 11:15 am, 11:30 am, and 11:45 am.

Parking: 
There will be NO parking available on Appleby College campus. Participants and spectators are advised to park properly and have consideration for the neighborhood in which you park your car. Please be aware of one-way streets and streets with no parking zones, as improperly parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense. Please also DO NOT PARK IN ANY CHURCH PARKING LOTS! And remember, it is not such a bad idea to park further away from the race site as that will afford you an opportunity to jog to the start as a warm-up, and walk or jog back to your car as a cool-down.

- North of Appleby College: Burton Rd (north of Suffolk), Patricia Dr., Jeanette , Oriole, Orchard
- West of Appleby College: Westdale Rd, West Lynn, Wilder, Maplehurst

From Oakville GO Train Station:
Whether travelling on the Eastbound or Westbound GO Train Lakeshore route, get off at the Oakville GO Station. Take the Oakville Transit Bus #14, which stops one block north of Appleby College, on Rebecca Street. For routes and schedules, please visit www.gotransit.com or call 1-888-438-6646.              

From Pearson Airport:
Go west on 401 to 427 South. Go west on the QEW and take the Dorval Drive exit (one exit after Trafalgar). Go south on Dorval Drive to Lakeshore Road West. Turn right (west) and drive 1 km to Appleby College, located on the left (south) side of Lakeshore Road West. Park in this area where it's permitted (see above list)

From North Toronto:
Go west on 401 past the airport to Hwy. 403. Take this through Mississauga until it connects to the QEW, then take the Dorval Drive exit (one exit after Trafalgar). Go south on Dorval Drive to Rebecca. Turn right (west) and drive 1 km to Suffolk Rd. and park in this area where it's permitted.

From downtown Toronto:
Go west on the Gardiner Expressway (which becomes the QEW) and take the Dorval Drive exit. Go south on Dorval Drive to Lakeshore Road West. Turn right (west) and drive 1 km to Appleby College, located on the left (south) side of Lakeshore Road West. Drop off your passengers then head west to Fourth Line or go north on Suffolk to Rebecca.

From Niagara Falls, Hamilton, and Burlington:
Go east on the QEW to Dorval Drive exit. Go south on Dorval Drive to Lakeshore Road West. Turn right (west) and drive 1 km to Appleby College, located on the left (south) side of Lakeshore Road West.
